Thanks for dropping by our Blog.  Mary Sue and I are on an adventure and you’re invited to come along.  I hope you like what you see and decide to join us.  After 22 years of teaching, I’ve decided to become an artist and to make a business out of giving to those with needs greater than ours.  It’s a two step process: first I look for silver linings in the clouds of life and paint them.  Then I sell the prints and give half the proceeds to people and organizations committed to dispelling those same clouds.

Here’s some of the background to our journey.  I was a middle school science teacher (if you want a few more details about me click Bio).  In the summer 2010, Mary Sue and I decided that working until I’m 80 in order to afford retirement was not an option.  That decision left us with three choices; starve, live with our kids, or make more money.  Starving seemed to be a short lived solution and living with our kids seemed redundant.  So we opted to make more money.  The question is, can I make a difference in the lives of people, give away half the proceeds and still make the money we need to live on?  The answer to that question is our adventure.  If you’d like, we invite you to follow our story and see where it leads.

But I’ve got to tell you, the best stories are found in the artwork and in the lives that are changed.  Each painting has it’s own page on our blog site.  Why don’t you find a painting you like and follow the stories?   Who knows, it might become your adventure as well.  Click here to find a story.  Click here to see the artwork.
