“Join the story…
The boy in the picture lives in JoeZahn, Liberia and is drinking clean water perhaps for the first time in his life. The painting you hold tells a part of his story. But not his alone. The moment you acquired this picture you also became part of his story. And he became part of yours. Your lives have converged and together you make a new life, embodied in the picture you now hold. Tell us the story. How did you get the picture? How does it affect you? What do you see in it? What do you add to it? Where will you take it? You now share a common history; tells us your part. The future of this little picture is in your hands, but its past belongs to someone else. Where did it come from? Whose lives has it touched? The number* in the box above identifies the origin of the picture you hold, to learn of its history go to rickstillartist.com. To upload your part of its story, go to rickstillartist.com/blogstory (include the number in the box); then send the picture on to wherever you think it belongs. Tell us what you did with the picture and keep us posted as your part of its story continues to unfold…”
*If the box is empty, leave it blank. We’ll email you the ID after your story is published.
